I still haven't had any time this week to write, I'm ashamed to say: Too busy communicating with donors since we lost our Spring Challenge Grant this year. (The theme of the 2016 Spring Campaign is Catholics Rising.)

Instead, I'm developing a special donor category for those who make monthly pledges to CatholicCulture.org. Anyone with an ongoing monthly pledge will now be considered a Sustaining Member. This will unfold over time, because we simply must increase our our regular income to avoid the constant boom-and-bust fundraising cycles.

Fortunately, others have plenty to say. For example, Jennifer Gregory Miller has begun to share the fruits of her extensive study and reflection on the liturgy. See The Spirit of the Liturgy, Part One: Mental Exertion.

Meanwhile, Phil Lawler has posted another Quick Hits piece highlighting Crux-writer John Allen's appreciation of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, and also the interesting fortunes of the Crux organization and website itself: Benedict as the Great Reformer, Crux as an objective source....
