Today I posted what (according to my present plan, at least) will be the final installment of my series on the relationship between the quest for religious unity and evangelization. See Effective evangelization: Initiation into the Church.

Yesterday I undertook a less serious, and in some ways problematic, appraisal of the wisdom of the other noteworthy comments Pope Francis made in his recent interview: In this corner, Pope Francis; in that corner…Donald Trump?

My administrative assistant, Thomas Van, suggested I had violated my usual rule against criticizing Pope Francis unnecessarily. I fear he is right in this case, and I'm curious as to how readers will respond.
