You'll recall that one reason Pope Emeritus Benedict resigned was that his strength was diminishing, and he did not feel able to carry through the major task of curial reform. Pope Francis established an inner cabinet of advisors and has made this a priority.
Last week, the completion of the financial reform was announced with the implementation of the new Secretariat for the Economy. Today, we learned that a new council has been set up to more efficiently handle cases of sex abuse: Pope creates new body to judge abuse cases....
