Here are some pretty significant straws in the wind from the news of the last two days:

As for news analysis, two very brief comments are worth noting. Phil Lawler insists that delaying the inevitable is bad policy in the Church's response to sex abuse suits: Wrongheaded diocesan legal defenses in abuse cases.
And I insist that Christians must not settle for window dressing in combatting the HHS Mandate: New HHS Mandate must truly eliminate complicity....
