First Phil discusses the importance of the address, and the chilling data on which it is based, in The Pope's alarming message on religious freedom. Next he highlights the welcome collaboration between the Pope and the U.S. Bishops in getting the word out: Pope & US bishops team up to put religious freedom on the political agenda.

Phil also noticed that the Republican presidential candidates have not yet seized the opportunity to challenge the Obama Administration on religious freedom.
