It's amazing, when you think about it, how much the Holy See has to deal with. Perhaps the Church would be healthier if it reduced its breadth of activities and concentrated more on purely ecclesiastical affairs.

Still, as far as diplomatic affairs go, the Vatican observers at the UN have been directly on target recently. See, for example, my blog entries on potential abuse of power in the General Assembly (Speaking Truth Power) and on a small effort to turn the tables on secularists concerning sex abuse (The Abuse is Homosexuality)....
